On August 25th, I was honored to host and teach another Summer Dance in the Parks event. It is always a fantastic sight seeing neighbors talk and interact with each other.

This is one of my favorite events. I enjoy socializing and dancing with everyone.
The band was Nabori with Yoko La Japonesa Salsera singing. The last time I saw Yoko perform was at the Chicago Salsa Congress in 2010. She was formidable then and just as glorious now. It is always a treat to have her in Chicago. And of course I had to get my album signed.

They rocked the Boathouse with people enjoying the music all over the park. We danced, partied, and sang along. It was a wonderful evening in the park.
Special shout out to the Department of Cultural Affairs (DCASE) and Chicago Parks District for offering events like this one that bring the community together .
