Square Roots Festival
The Desueño Dance Latin Footwork team will perform and teach at the Square Roots Festival in Lincoln Square. Join us at the Kids Zone Family Stage.

Wave Wall Moves appearance at Navy Pier

See Chicago Dance is partnering with Navy Pier, for another season of Wave Wall Moves. Dance comes to the Wave Wall Platform across from the iconic Ferris Wheel grand staircase with pop-up performances featuring a rotating roster of dance companies and artists each Saturday throughout the summer. Desueño Dance will be there on Saturday, August 5th at 3 PM to share the joy of dance with a performance and a mini-lesson! Here’s the full Wave Wall schedule.
Juneteenth Block Party at Luther Memorial Church

We are celebrating Juneteenth at LMC’s 3rd annual Juneteenth Block Party! There will be food from Soul and Smoke, music by Sharon Irving, and dance with Desueño Dance Company. You will also have an opportunity to shop from black-owned vendors while enjoying face painting, a bounce house, and educational activities for the kids. Admission is free, and a suggested donation of $10 is welcomed.

Learn Salsa with Desueño Dance!

Warm up on a cold winter night and join us for an introduction to Salsa dancing! This is a footwork workshop so no partners are necessary.
We will focus on learning basic steps and movements that will allow students to dance to various Salsa songs. We will teach movements that people will dance individually and not as partners. In Salsa, we call this footwork, shines, or pasitos.
